The Brahmaputra

The Brahmaputra

Few cross the river of time and are able to reach non-being. Most of them run up and down only on this side of the river. But those who when they know the law follow the path of the law, they shall reach the other shore and go beyond the realm of death.

Solitude

Alone @ Fort Kochi

It was a dark evening, empty breeze rustled the dried leaves along the pavement. I stood there to feel the emptiness in the air and in the surroundings. Emptiness was profound and even more silence.

Visit Fort Kochi, Kerala during sun-set to see the sun being consumed by the sea.

Athirapally Falls

Have you ever heard the sound of water falling from about 80 feet high? If you haven't, visit Athirapally Falls, Kerala.
One sight and you will not able to take you eyes away from it.
Surrounded by lush forest and hills, the scenery in Athirapally is mesmerising.

Athirapally Falls

How to Reach :  Take train from Cochin (Ernakulam Station) to Chalakkudy. From Chalakudy buses ply every half an hour to Athirapally. The train to Chalakkudy leaves from Ernakulam Station at about 7 am. It takes about 1 hour to reach Chalakuddy. From Chalakuddy, the bus ride to Athirapally takes another 1 hour. The bus journey is beautiful and calm, as it travels through the rubber plantations. After reaching Athirapally complete the registration at the forest office and pay the fees.
After sight seeing in Athirapally, move on to  Vazhachal Falls which is about 5 kms from Athirapally Falls.

The road to Vazhachal.

If your ever visit Kochi, keep a day reserve for Athirapally. I bet you will never regret.
